This is an ideal feeder for mealworms, the dome can be adjusted to keep all but the most persistent crows and jays out, while letting the bluebirds and titmice in. (nothing stops the starlings, unfortunately). This is my second one, replacing one that was damaged beyond repair by repeated assaults (presumably by squirrels and/or raccoons). I belatedly discovered the feeder can be made more secure by (a) closing the loop at the top (b) using a carabiner or other secure link to attach it to the feeder pole and (c) threading a jam nut (1/4"-28, not the more common 1/4"-20 thread) on ahead of attaching the tray, then tightening back down to prevent squirrels from spinning the tray loose. All this was learned by trial and error, and eventually we had to replace our first feeder, but, now that we know how to secure it, I am confident it will do the job.
