Seachem Flourish Iron Planted Aquarium Supplement is a highly concentrated ferrous iron gluconate supplement. Plants are able to much more easily derive a benefit from ferrous iron gluconate because it is already in the ferrous form, meaning plants do not need to expend precious energy reducing it. Ferrous gluconate is better suited to foliar feeding than is iron-EDTA, thanks to the relatively weaker iron-gluconate bonding. In addition, ferrous gluconate has the benefit of being a good source of carbon. HAZARDS TO ANIMALS: May produce an allergic reaction.
