Pet Field Trip

Come meet the pets at CountryMax! This program gives the girls an opportunity to not only learn about our furry and scaly friends, but meet them as well. With access to our event space, everyone will have plenty of time to take a tour of our animal rooms, learn some awesome facts, meet and pet some of our friendly animals, and ask all of the questions they want. This is the perfect trip for Brownies looking to complete their Pets badge.

Chick Workshop
March 16, 10am to 11:30am

Join CountryMax and our friends from Nutrena® to learn all there is to know about raising chicks. The 1.5-hour course takes girls through hatching chicks, finding the right chicks for you, taking care of the baby chicks, the right diet, and finally grown-up chickens. The course includes time with real baby chicks. The cost of a ticket is just $5 per girl. This is the perfect event for Brownies looking to get their Pets badge.

Bird House Workshop
April 6, 10am to 11am
Fairport CountryMax
Join us in building birdhouses to attract some beautiful animals to your backyard. The participants will get access to our event space for 1 hour with a birdhouse kit for each participant. The kit includes easy-to-follow instructions, all wood pieces, nails, acrylic paints (6), paintbrushes and stickers. We provide some tools to share. One of our staff members will also be there to help the kids navigate their build. This is an opportunity to earn your Bird House Building fun patch.

Garden Workshop
June 1, 10am to 12pm

Come explore the nursery at CountryMax! We will teach the girls all about the different plants we have and how to choose the right one for you. Each girl will plant their own seed to put in their own garden at home. We will finish the day by actually planting seeds in our own little garden at CountryMax! Perfect for girls looking to complete their Gardener badge.
