Seachem Prime is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and salt water tanks. This formula is designed to remove chlorine, chloramine and ammonia from your fish tank. This specially formulated water conditioner converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that will be then removed by your biofilter. It's recommended to use during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrate toxicity. Just like it breaks down the ammonia in your tank it also detoxifies nitrites and nitrates, allowing the biofilter to remove them. Prime will also detoxify any heavy metals found in tap water at typical concentration levels. Since this product is formulated to be non-acidic, it won't impact your pH level. Use this product at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water.
